Televoting

decision making and opinion polling conducted by telephone From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Telephone voting, shortened to televoting, is when people vote to make a decision by telephone, such as texting or calling a certain number to vote for what they want. It is often used for reality TV competitions (such as Big Brother, The Voice, The X Factor and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here) to decide which contestants are leaving or winning. It is also used in the Eurovision Song Contest for viewers to vote for their favourite country.
