From Hand to Mouth: Or, How We Invented Knives, Forks, Spoons, & Chopsticks & The Table Manners to Go With Them by James Giblin (Crowell, 1987) is a good resource to find information about chopsticks. In the book, it states the chopsticks' name means "the quick little fellows". Also, it is either greedy people who cannot wait for their supper invented the chopstick to get their food or it is Confucius who said people should not take knives onto the table. The book is a children's book, so it is very easy to read. The pictures are black and white. Many people believe chopsticks were invented in ancient China, but people do not know when it was invented there. still sounds a little awkward to my sense of language. I think your first revert was the correct one (removing Chopspoons). The chopspoon article created on en:wp was wiped and deleted a few days ago and the information about them added to the chopsticks page was removed as not notable and spammish. That reference link has no reference to chopspoons that can be easily located. It just leads to a shop's site. Also, variations of the name get under 100 google hits. The wording comes across as POV, combined with the unsourced nature, I can't help but feel it should stay removed. -- Creol(talk) 02:02, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

CHOPSPOONS 羹子筷

After using the traditional chopsticks dating back for over 3000 years it went through a transformation. In Hongkong, they named the new utensil CHOPSPOONS (羹子筷).

• Chopspoons has the characteristics of traditional chopsticks but it is more functional in use. The tip curves as a spoon so one does not need to use much effort to grasp food but can easily and elegantly pick rice and dishes without lifting the bowl;

• Flat and squared stick allows one to gain a good grasp of the Chopspoons; the end is fitted with adjustable and removable metal buckle chain allowing ease of use.

Forests

While I still think this should remain a good article even if not edited, there is a problem in the following sentence:

If production continues at the current level, China's forests will be gone in about a decade.

This was published in 2006, it has been 16 years, and China still has forests. Lights and freedom (talk) 07:26, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
