Short U (Ў, ў), also referred to as uw, waw, u kratkoye or simply u kratko, is a letter of the Cyrillic script and is used in Belarusian, Dungan, Karakalpak, Karachay-Balkar, Mansi, Sakhalin Nivkh, Ossetian and Siberian Yupik, it sounds like /w/ or /o/.
