Plaid Cymru (plaɪd ˈkəmri) is Welsh for The Party of Wales. It is often simply called Plaid. It is a political party in the United Kingdom that wants Wales to become its own country. It is described as being on the centre-left or the left-wing of the political spectrum. They have 13 of the 60 seats in the Senedd (as of the 2021 Senedd election), as well as four MPs in the House of Commons (as of the 2019 general election). The party's leader is Adam Price.
