Peter Zinner (July 24, 1919 – November 13, 2007) was an Austrian-American film editor, sound editor, and producer and filmmaker. He did more than fifty films from 1956 to 2006. His most notable films are The Godfather and The Godfather: Part II. Other notable works are The Professionals, In Cold Blood, The Deer Hunter and An Officer and a Gentleman.

Zinner fled Nazi Germany with his Jewish parents. In the 1940s, Zinner worked at 20th Century Fox Studios and later Universal Studios. He worked with composers Miklós Rózsa, Jacques Ibert, André Previn, Adolph Deutsch, and Bernard Herrmann.
