Magneto (Max Eisenhardt) (/mæɡˈniːtoʊ/) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with the X-Men. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby, the character first appears in The X-Men #1 (cover-dated September 1963) as an enemy of the X-Men.[1] Magneto was ranked by IGN as the Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time.[2]
The character has adapted to different forms of media, including toys, movies, television series, and video games. He was played by Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender in movies. He was voiced by Tom Kane and Tony Jay in cartoons and video games.
