Lex Luthor (full name: Alexander Joseph ''Lex'' Luthor) is a fictional supervillain from the comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster. He first appeared in Action Comics #23 (April 1940).
Fictional character biography
He is a billionaire genius, scientist, and businessman with an obsessive hatred for the Superman. He runs LexCorp (or LuthorCorp), his technological and business empire, which provides him with unlimited resources.
His abilities include genius-level intellect, strategy, manipulation, and leadership. He often uses advanced armor, high-tech weaponry, and kryptonite to fight Superman. In different versions, he has been a corrupt tycoon, a mad scientist, or even the President of the United States, always seeking to defeat Superman and control Metropolis.
