Kurt Furgler (24 June 1924 – 23 July 2008) was a Swiss politician. He was a member of the Swiss Federal Council from 1972 to 1986. He was born and raised in St. Gallen.
Furgler was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on 8 December 1971 and handed over office on 31 December 1986. He was a member of the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland.
During his office time he held the following departments:
Furgler was President of the Confederation three times in 1977, 1981 and 1985.
He studied Jurisprudence in Fribourg, Zürich, and Geneva. In 1948, he got his license to practice law in St. Gallen.
Furgler died on 23 July 2008 in St. Gallen at the age of 84.
