Jutes

The Jutes were a Germanic people who are believed to have come from Jutland (Latin:Iutum) in modern Denmark, Southern Schleswig in northern Germany, and part of the Frisian coast. The Jutes, along with the Angles, the Saxons and the Frisians, were mentioned as the the Germanic tribes that sailed across the North Sea to raid and eventually invade Britain.

It is believed that most Jutes settled in Kent and the Isle of Wight. The Jutes, Angles, and Saxons settled in the land that became the country of England.
