The International Organization for Standardization is an international body dedicated to promoting international standards. Its official languages are English, French and Russian. Its name in French is Organisation internationale de normalisation and its name in Russian is Международная организация по стандартизации or Myezhdunarodnaya organizatsiya po standartizatsii. Its short name form is ISO.[1] Its members are standards bodies from various countries around the world. Its headquarters are in Geneva.[4]
