Cholistan Desert (Urdu: صحرائے چولستان, also locally known as Rohi) sprawls thirty kilometers from Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan and covers an area of 16,000 square kilometres (6,200 sq mi). It is next to the Thar Desert extending over to Sindh and into the Republic of India.
