Robert Alphonso "Bob" Taft III (born January 8, 1942) is an American politician and attorney. He served as the 67th Governor of Ohio between 1999 and 2007 as a member of the Republican Party. In 2005 Governor Bob Taft pleaded no contest to charges that he broke state ethics law by failing to report golf outings and other gifts.
