Björn Svante Afzelius (January 27, 1947 – February 16, 1999), was a Swedish musician and guitarist who's songs were about socialism, love and joy. He released his debut album in 1974 and his last album weeks before his death. He had throat pain after he had played acoustic trio. In autumn 1997, doctors identified lung cancer. He died of the disease one and a half year later at the age of 52.
