The Babington Plot was a plan in 1586 to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I and put her cousin Mary, Queen of Scots on the throne instead. Mary, Queen of Scots also decided to partner up with Anthony Babington with help of the plotting of Queen Elizabeth 1's assasination.
