The arrondissement of Châtellerault is an arrondissement of France, in the Vienne department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Its capital is the city of Châtellerault.

When the Vienne department was created on 1800, the arrondissement of Châtellerault was part of that original department.[2]
The arrondissement of Châtellerault is in northern Vienne and is bordered to the northwest by the Maine-et-Loire department, to the north and east by the Indre-et-Loire department, to the southeast by the Indre department (a small part) and the arrondissement of Montmorillon, to the south by the arrondissement of Poitiers and to the west by the Deux-Sèvres department.
It has an area of 2,065 km2 (797.3 sq mi).[3] It has 112,313 inhabitants and a density of 54.4 inhabitants/km².[4]
After the reorganisation of the cantons in France,[5] cantons are not subdivisions of the arrondissements so they could have communes that belong to different arrondissements.
