Antonio Ramon Delgado (born January 28, 1977) is an American attorney and politician. Since 2022, he has been serving as the lieutenant governor of New York under Governor Kathy Hochul. He was the U.S. representative from New York's 19th congressional district from 2019 until 2022. He is the first person of either African-American and Hispanic descent to be elected to Congress from Upstate New York.[1]
On May 3, 2022, Delgado was selected by Kathy Hochul to be lieutenant governor of New York.[2]
Delgado announced on February 24, 2025 that he would not seek re-election as lieutenant governor in 2026 and would explore other options. Hochul's office responded by stating that Hochul "had already begun taking steps to identify a new running mate for 2026".[3]
