Xavier Novell Gomà (born April 20, 1969)[1] is a Spanish former and suspended Roman Catholic bishop. He was the Bishop of Solsona from 2010 to 2021.

Xavier Novell was born on April 20, 1969, in Ossó de Sió, Spain. He was ordained a priest on July 6, 1997.[2][1]
On November 3, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him as the Bishop of Solsona. He was consecrated by Cardinal Luis Ladaria Ferrer on December 12, 2010.[2][1]
On August 23, 2021, Pope Francis accepted his resignation as bishop. Xavier Novell left the priesthood and started a relationship with Silvia Caballol, a writer of satanic erotic literature. On November 22, 2021, they married in a civil ceremony. Because of this, he was suspended from performing any priestly duties. In April 2024, they had a church wedding with a special dispensation given by Pope Francis.[3][2]
