Western Area

The Western Area is one of the five administrative regions of Sierra Leone. It comprises the national capital Freetown and its surrounding suburbs. Its area is 557 km² and 1,493,252 people lived here in 2015. The Western Area is not a province.
It is divided into two districts:
- Western Area Rural District
- Western Area Urban District
