My Presence

Hi,

I have recently retired, but have been asked to reconsider my decision, as this Wiki needs improving. I really don't have much work to do here, in content contributions, as I like to be intricate, and the simplicity here is quite present. I am busy with such at EN. I would, however, be willing to keep the wiki clean (IE: Block vandals, delete QD's etc), but for that I need to be an Admin. I have 200 edits here, and 3,000+ at EN (which if I had here, would be sufficient to maybe pass an RFA). I'm not sure if It is worth running for adminship, what do you think? If this happened, along the way, I may do some content contribs. This is not a bribe, this just would give me something to do while I am here. Cheers. Tofutwitch11-Chat 22:15, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey. I think 300 changes is a little low for adminship, and two months editing doesn't seem enough time. I think that if you where going to run right now, people would be looking to see how many of the edits you have are to admin related areas and activities, such as QD's and reports to WP:VIP. I only see two QD requests and I don't think I see any VIP reports. Because of that, I don't think it would be a good idea to run right now. Of course I don't want to see you leave the wiki, but we really aren't short on admins, ( we have a lot of them :P) and I don't think you have the experience needed just yet. Of course your contribs at en are good, but we are not en and need to look at mostly simple wiki content. Just as a note, our pages can be just as intricate and detailed as the pages at en, the language just has to be made simple. Username

I do wish to edit here and would like to request a username change. I used the username Colonel Sanders mainly because it is a sort of inside joke type of thing and the username I use on Illogicopedia and RationalWiki. Although it was not at all my intention, I see how the username could be seen as promotional. Just curious, is there a list of articles needing to be written around here? I'm lost at what to write about. I hope my contributions Sun Records and Newt Gingrich were indeed helpful. Thank you so much for the link, that really helps... Since this is the Simple en Wikipedia, are all the parameters acceptable, such as some with more complex names such as "alma mater"? How do I show text of a template without the template actually showing up on page? Thanks... and also, the reason you gave for denying rollback rights is completely legitimate, but I don't think you should make judgements based off of the english wikipedia, because noboby gives positive credit here from en.Wiki... this is not an arguement, just a quick comment... Thanks for the help... :) I just wanted to use the templates for the status of the articles I am writing, a way for me to keep everything in order, as I plan on writing a lot of articles... I was going to create a page for all of the templates and such that I have created so that I can keep track of those as well, and I don't know how to write out, for example User:SPQR/Inprogress, without the result of the template showing up... As the templates are for your use, I would suggest moving them into your userspace. You want to type the template onto your page, but for the template to not show up? If so, <!-- will hide text --> --Gordonrox24 | ^Talk 20:20, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
