I have fixed 3 problems at Template_talk:Convert/updates, starting with a correction about updating {Convert/m}. I added another template to be changed: {Convert/x}. Flood

Several contributions to the page were made by IP addresses 220.255.7.-(three-digits) at the same time. Would that make them open proxies, or are they the same person? :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 01:33, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Open proxy blocks

Hey Gordonrox24. I noticed you have blocked a few IPs as open proxies. However, I don't see any edits in their contribs or in their deleted contribs. I'm just curious why you decided to block these IPs. Thanks! EhJJ^TALK 18:46, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey. They're blocked per Meta's rule, where as I understand it open proxies can be blocked at anytime for any period of time as they are not allowed to edit. I access all proxies prior to blocking to make sure that the IP is correct, and then send the ips to en at the Wikiproject for open proxies where they are usually blocked for a period longer then the block I set here at simple. Sounds fine to me. I was just wondering from where you were getting the IPs. Do you have a list of probable open proxies that you check, because I can't imagine you're just guessing IP addresses out of thin air? EhJJ^TALK 22:56, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Nah, there are actually quite a few lists online that have a bunch of open proxy sites. I'm subscribed to a mail list where I get sent a few new proxies everyday, and then I check a list once and a while that updates every few minutes with fresh proxies.
