Scrapie
disease that affects sheep and goats / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Scrapie is a fatal prion disease that affects the nervous system of sheep and goats. It is similar to Mad cow disease which affects cattle. Scrapie was first described in 1732. Much like with mad cow disease, prions seem to be involved in transmitting it.
