Roderick Lemonde MacFarquhar (2 December 1930 – 10 February 2019)[1] was a British politician and journalist. He was a Harvard University professor. He was a Member of Parliament from 1974 to 1978. He was best known for his studies of Maoist China, the three-volume The Origins of the Cultural Revolution and Mao’s Last Revolution.[2]
