Ramsey County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, 552,352 people lived there,[1] making it the second-most populous county in Minnesota. The county seat is Saint Paul,[2] which is also Minnesota's state capital. The county was founded in 1849 and is named for Alexander Ramsey (W), the first governor of the Minnesota Territory.[3]
