Miquel Crusafont i Pairó (1910, Sabadell, Spain—1983) was a Catalan palaeontologist. He specialised in mammal bones.
Crusafont obtained a Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona in 1933. He got a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Madrid in 1950.[1]
In 1961, he was appointed Professor of Palaeontology at the University of Oviedo.[2] He later became Professor of Anthropology at the Societatis Iesu (Barcelona).
In 1969, Crusafont founded the Provincial Palaeontology Institute. It has been known as the Miquel Crusafont Palaeontology Institute since 1983.
The prehistoric mammal Crusafontia was named for Crusafont.[3]
