Meitei script (Meitei: Meitei Mayek) or Meetei script (Meitei: Meetei Mayek) is an abugida used for Meitei language (officially known as Manipuri language),[1] the sole official language, the lingua franca and the predominantly spoken tongue of the Indian state of Manipur.[2][3][4]
