José Luis Brown (10 November 1956 – 12 August 2019) was an Argentine footballer. He played as a central defender, and coach.

He played for Estudiantes. He also competed professionally in Colombia, France and Spain. Brown represented the Argentina national team at the 1986 World Cup and three Copa América tournaments. In 1995, he began a career as a manager.
Brown died on 12 August 2019 in hospital in La Plata, Argentina from illness originating with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 62.[1]
