Headquarters is a name given to the main building of an organization where most of its functions are done. All large companies have headquarters which control the business. A large non-governmental organization also has a Headquarters building where its activities are controlled. The term is also used regarding military organizations. In Some Fire Departments,their Headquarters can be located inside a Firehouse for administrative staff and units or most Fire Departments have a separate Headquarters Building where all administrative staff and units are located. All Units in the United States Army and Marine Corps have buildings for their Headquarters staff and all administrative duties for Companies,Battalions,Regiments,Etc. In United States Law Enforcement Agencies Their Headquarters can be located in a large building in a City,Town,County or State where the Law Enforcement Agencies are located.
