Friuli-Venezia Giulia (pronounced [friˈuːli veˈnɛttsja ˈdʒuːlja]) is a region in the north-east of Italy on the Adriatic Sea. The capital is Trieste. The population is 1,191,588. FVG has a border with the Italian region of Veneto to the west, Austria to the north and Slovenia on the east.
