From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The flag of the state of Yucatán has a green background with five stars and has three horizontal stripes of red, white and red. This flag was the banner of the republic that comprised of the present Mexican states of Yucatán, Campeche and Quintana Roo.[1][2]
This symbol of the entity, which after 182 years was raised by the state authorities, on August 21, 2023 in the state capital of Mérida, derived from a reform to the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States regarding state flags.[3]
