Area code 928 is a telephone area code in the state of Arizona in the United States. It covers a large portion of northern and western Arizona, including cities such as Flagstaff, Prescott, and Yuma. It was created on June 23, 2001, as a split from area code 520, which originally covered a larger region in southern and eastern Arizona.
