Ōsumi Province

Ōsumi Province (大隅国, Ōsumi no Kuni) was an old province of Japan in the area of Kagoshima Prefecture on the island of Kyūshū.[1] It was sometimes called Gūshū (隅州).

Ōsumi had borders with Hyūga and Satsuma Provinces.
The ancient capital city of the province was near Kokubu.
