කාකතීය රාජවංශය යනුවෙන් හැඳින්වෙන්නේ 12වන සහ 14වන සියවස් අතර කාලයේ වර්තමාන ආන්ධ්ර ප්රදේශ් සහ තෙලංගානා, නැගෙනහිර කර්ණාටකයෙහි සහ දකුණු ඔඩිෂාවේ කොටසක් ඇතුළු නැගෙනහිර ඩෙකෑනයේ විශාල භූමි ප්රදේශයක් පාලනය කළ දකුණු ඉන්දියානු රාජවංශයකි. ඔවුන්ගේ අගනගරය වූ ඔරුගල්ලු වර්තමානයෙහි වරංගල් යන නාමයෙන් හැඳින්වේ. මුල්කාලීන කාකතීය පාලකයින් සියවස් දෙකකට අධික කාලයක් රාෂ්ට්රකූටයන් සහ බටහිර චාලුක්යයන්ගේ යටත් රාජ්යවල වාසය කොට ඇත. ඔවුන් ස්වාධීන රාජ්යත්වයට පත්වූයේ ක්රි.ව. 1163 දී පළමුවන ප්රතාපරුද්ර රජුගේ නායකත්වයෙන් යුතුව, තෙලංගානාවේ සෙසු චාලුක්ය රාජ්ය යටපත් කරගැනීමෙනි.[4] 1230 දශකයේ දී ගණපති දේව (රාජ්ය සමය. 1199–1262) රජු විසින් කාකතීය දේශය පුළුල් කළ අතර, ගෝදාවරී සහ ක්රිෂ්ණ ගංගා අවට පහතරට ඩෙල්ටාවේ තෙලිඟු ප්රදේශ සිය අණසකට නතු කරගත්තේ ය. ගණපති දේවගෙන් පසු රාජ්යත්වයට පත් රුද්රමා දේවී (රාජ්ය. 1262–1289) රැජින ඉන්දීය ඉතිහාසයේ විසූ රැජිනියන් අතලොස්ස අතුරින් අයෙකි. 1289-1293 අතර කාලයේ ඉන්දියාව වෙත පැමිණි මාර්කෝ පෝලෝ රුද්රමා දේවියගේ පාලන සමය පිළිබඳ සඳහන් කොට තිබේ. ඇය විසින් කාකතීය දේශය වෙත එල්ලවූ දේවගිරියේ යාදව (ස්යුන) ආක්රමණ සාර්ථකව මැඬලූවා ය.[4]
