Kökjanggak (an aw Kok-Jangak or Kok-Dzhangak, Kyrgyz: Көкжаңгак, meanin in Kyrgyz "green walnut", pronounced [kœkd͡ʒɑɴɢɑ́q]) is a toun o aboot 10,000 in the Suzak Destrict o the Jalal-Abad Province o wastren Kyrgyzstan, locatit at a distance o aboot 35 km o the regional centre ceety Jalal-Abad.

Kökjanggak oreeginatit as a coal-minin settlement in the beginnin o 20t century. The upper strata o coal o Kok-Jangak coal deposit hae been mined on a sma-scale till the October Revolution. Durin the Roushie Ceevil War the mine wis destroyed bi basmachi an extraction wis suspendit. Durin the First Five-Year Plan new drift mines wur developed an access railwey frae Jalal-Abad built. This resultit in rapid increase o the coal production. In 1943 Kökjanggak became a toun.[2]
The population o Kökjanggak wis 10,341 in 2004 includin 8,400 - Kyrgyz, 640 - Uzbek, 540 - Roushie, 210 - Tatar, 140 - Kazakh, an 411 - ither naitionalities.
