The Po ([Padus an Eridanus] error: {{lang-xx}}: text has italic markup (help); Italian: Po Italian pronunciation: [ˈpɔ]; auncient Ligurian: Bodincus or Bodencus; Greek: Πάδος an Ἠριδανός) is a river that flows either 652 km (405 mi) or 682 km (424 mi) – considerin the length o the Maira, a richt baunk tributary – eastward athort northren Italy, frae a spring seepin frae a stony hillside at Pian del Re, a flat place at the heid o the Val Po unner the northwast face o Monviso (in the Cottian Alps) through a delta projectin intae the Adriatic Sea near Venice. It is the langest river in Italy.
