The province haes a population o 552,646 as o 2010. The population o the province wis 569,616 in 2000 an 498,225 in 1990. The total aurie o the province is (3,534 sq mi), 826 km2 (319 sq mi) o which is covered bi reservoirs an natural lakes.
The current governor o the province is Muammer Erol (syne 2006).
On 8 Mairch 2010, the province suffered an earthquake o magnitude 6.0, killin 42 fowk.[2][3]
