César de Bourbon, Duke o Vendôme (3 Juin 1594 – 22 October 1665) wis an illegitimate son o Henry IV o Fraunce an his mistress Gabrielle d'Estrées, His faither created him Duke o He haed a townhouse in Paris where the area o which is now occupied bi the Place Vendôme. in 1598 an the teetle wis inherited bi his son in 1665. He wis also known as César de Vendôme as a result o his teetle.

On Fontainebleau on 16 Julie 1609, at the Palace o Fontainebleau the young Duke o Vendôme mairit Françoise o Lorraine, then ane o the wealthiest hieresses in Fraunce.
The dukedom o Vendôme had been owned bi the Hoose o Bourbon since 1393, at that point being a Coonty but wis raised tae a dukedom bi Louis XII o Fraunce.
