Шина — простый оцѣльовый носич шпециалного перерѣзу, укладованый на верх штрекы про застачѣня гладкого пересуваня желѣзничного або городского транспорта (потяг, дрезина, трамвай), а тыж технологичного транспорта в розличных конарях выробы (будовляный журав, возикы в банях и ломах).[1]
В Европѣ хоснують шины довжкы 30 м, вагов од 55 кг/м до 65 кг/м.[2]
В США и Канадѣ хосновали соткы розличных типох шин, котры суть доднесь в роботѣ. Але в сучасности е силна тенденция штандартизации. Штандартны америцкы шины мають довжку 12 м, а вагу од 57,5 кг/м до 66 кг/м.[2]
Обычайно ся шины монтують в парѣ. Даколи ся хоснуе една шина (напр., во висячой желѣзници, на пересуваня едношинового журава). Шины споюють на стыках шпециалныма спойовыма сучастками, або зваряньом (бесстыковы шины).[1]
