Ранние годы

Янсон родился в Кобурге в ФРГ. В 1957 году он вместе с семьёй эмигрировал в США, поселившись в Коннектикуте, где жил в Бриджпорте с 1957 по 1972 год^[1][2]. В юности Клаус заинтересовался персонажем Сорвиголовой, хотя тот не пользовался популярностью среди друзей Янсона^[3].
