علامہ مجلسی سنہ 1237 ہجری وچ اصفہان وچ پیدا ہوئے۔[1] انہاں دی صفوی سلطنت دے دور وچ تے شاہ عباس اول دی بادشاہت دے آخری سال وچ ہوئی۔ انہاں دے والد علامہ محمد تقی مجلسی (مجلسی اول)، نيں جو اپنے زمانے دے نامور اکابرین تے مجتہدین وچوں سن تے انہاں دی والدہ صدر الدین محمد عاشوری قمی دی بیٹی تے علم و فضیلت دے خاندان توں تعلق رکھدیاں نيں۔[2]
