ପ୍ରଥମ ବିଶ୍ୱଯୁଦ୍ଧ ହେଉଛି ପ୍ରଥମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ବ୍ୟାପୀ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଯାହାକି ଇଉରୋପ ମହାଦେଶରେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରିଭୂତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ଏହା 28 ଜୁଲାଇ 1914ରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇ 11 ନଭେମ୍ବର 1918ରେ ଶେଷ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।ଏହି ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଇଉରୋପର 70 ଅୟୁତରୁ ଅଧିକ ମିଲିଟାରୀ ସେନା ଭାଗନେଇଥିଲେ । ଏଥିରେ 9 ଅଯୁତ ସେନା ଓ 7 ଅଯୁତ ସାଧାରଣ ଜନତା ମୃତ୍ୟୁବରଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ଏହି ଇତିହାସର ଗୋଟିଏ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଥିଲା।ଏହି ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବିଶ୍ୱର ଅର୍ଥନୈତିକ ମହାଶକ୍ତିମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର ବିରୋଧରେ ମେଣ୍ଟ କରିଥିଲେ ।ଗୋଟେ ମେଣ୍ଟରେ ଥିଲେ ଇଂଲଣ୍ଡ ,ଫ୍ରାଣ୍ସ ଏବଂ ଋଷିଆ ଓ ସେମାଙ୍କ ବିରୋଧରେ ଥିଲେ ଜର୍ମାନୀ ଏବଂ ଅଷ୍ଟ୍ରିଆ ହଙ୍ଗେରୀ ଓ ଇଟାଲୀ । ଏଥିରେ ବହୁ କ୍ଷୟକ୍ଷତି ହୋଇଥିଲା ।
