Frances Burney (13 de junh de 1752, King's Lynn - 6 de genier de 1840, Bath), apelada Fanny Burney dins la vida quotidiana, es una escrivana anglesa de la fin dau segle XVII e de la prumiera mitat dau segle XVIII. Foguèt l'autritz de plusors romans que lo mai coneissut es lo roman apistolar Evelina publicat en 1778.
