Æolus-kvartalet, svensk: Kvarteret Æolus (også Aeolus eller Aeolus) er et kvartal i Gamla stan i Stockholm. Kvartalet er omgitt av Österlånggatan i vest, Slottsbacken i nord, Skeppsbron i øst og Telegrafgränd i sør. Området for dagens kvartal kom til etter 1640-tallet, da den østlige bymuren ble revet og nytt byggbart land ble anlagt på delvis utfylt land langs Skeppsbron. Æolus er Skeppsbrons nordligste kvartal med Stockholms slott som nabo.

Dagens Æolus-kvartal er den nordligste delen av den middelalderske bydelen Våmbafjärdingen mellom Sanden (dagens Slottsbacken) og Lindhwidz grend (dagens Telegrafgränd).
De fleste kvartalene i Gamla stan er blitt oppkalt etter hendelser og personer (hovedsakelig guder) fra gresk og romersk mytologi. I gresk mytologi finnes tre forskjellige figurer som het Aiolos, i Odysseen var Aiolos vindens herre.
Kvartalet ble etablert i 1729, og da var det fire eiendommer (Östra 10, Östra 11, Östra 12 og Östra 13). I 1885 var det tre, (Æolus i, II, III) og etter 1930 er disse slått sammen til en enkelt eiendom, Æolus 1.[1]
I løpet av 1600-tallet ble Slottsbackens søndre del omformet og bebygget med nye påkostede steinhus. I 1647 bygde Västerviks skeppskompani (også kalt Stora Saltkompaniet), Saltkompaniets hus, som var et pakkhus på den nordøstlige delen av tomta.[2] På slutten av 1700-tallet ble huset bygd om til et palass.
På tomtens nordvestre del hadde Henrik Klasson Fleming samme år fått bygget noen boder. Det meste av tomten ble kjøpt i januar 1653 av baron Erik Fleming, hvor han bygde Flemingska palatset på den vestre delen av kvartalet.
Den nåværende bygningen mot Skeppsbron ble oppført i 1868-1870 for Stockholms telegrafstation av Kongl. Elecktriska Telegraf-Werket. Arkitekt for huset var Ludvig Hawerman. Da ble også Saltkompaniets hus revet. Det var en del stockholmere som mislikte rivingen siden Saltkompaniets gamle lagerbygning på slutten av 1700-tallet hadde blitt ombygd til et praktfullt palass med en halvsirkelformet trapp og «idel hwälvda rom».[3]
Allerede i 1889 ekspanderte Telegrafverket inn i nabohuset, Flemingska palatset. Både Stockholms telegrafstation og Flemingska palatset ble ombygd og restaurert på slutten av 1950-tallet med Ivar Tengbom som arkitekt. Eiendommen Skeppsbron 2 og Slottsbacken 8 ble vernet som byggnadsminne i 1992. Telegraf- og annen televirksomhet fantes i huset helt fram til 1993. I dag (2009) leies eiendommen ut til kontorer.
Æolus østre del med adresse Österlånggatan 1 deles av en gårdsplass i to bygninger. Allmenheten har ikke tilgang til gården, som er blokkert av en smijernsgrind. Byggearbeidene startet i begynnelsen av 1897 for Telegraf-Werkets regning og ble godkjent i etterkant av Stockholms by den 21. desember 1897. Mellom 1950 og 1995 skjedde det en del ombygginger da vinduer og dører mot Österlånggatan ble flyttet og endret.[4]
