Vegår er en innsjø i Vegårshei kommune i Agder fylke. Vegår er 17,3 km² stort og ligger 189 meter over havet.
Vegår går også under kallenavnet Fjorden, og er et populært område for hytter og rekreasjon. Vannet er delt i seks hovedbassenger hvorav Vestfjorden, Nordfjorden og Sørfjorden er de tre største. Nordfjorden følger en forkastningsone fra Porsgrunn til Kristiansand og det dypeste punktet er i Nordfjorden. Ved utløpet på Høl i Sørfjorden starter Storelva. Vegår har mange strender, små kanaler og over 365 små og store øyer. Den største øya er Furøya, og ligger i Nordfjorden.
Vannet må forøvrig ikke forveksles med Vegårvann, et mindre vann beliggende lenger oppe i samme vassdrag.
Sagnet sier at det var en mann som ble lyst fredløs, og var ikke fri før han overnattet én natt på hver eneste holme i Vegår. Etter 365 netter kom han tilbake, og derfor sier sagnet at det er 365 øyer og holmer i Vegår.
Det avholdes årlig fiskefestival i Vegår, det er bestand av abbor, ørret, røye, krøkle og ål. Storørreten er også tilbake takket være målrettet kalking i over 20 år, da både abboren og ørreten var i ferd med å forsvinne på grunn av forsuret vann.
Vegår er en del av Vegårvassdraget, som har et stort mangfold av kulturminner. En del av disse er bevart, spesielt møller, sagbruk og tømmerfløtningsanlegg. Vegårvassdraget ble vernet mot kraftutbygging i 1986.[3]
