Tromsø folkebibliotek er bibliotek for innbyggere og besøkende i Tromsø kommune. Hovedbygningen ble flyttet fra sine gamle lokaler i Storgatbakken til Fokuskvartalet og åpnet den 3. august 2005. Den huser samlinger fordelt over fire etasjer.

Biblioteket har i tillegg to byfilialer i bydelene Kroken og Tromsdalen, samt distriktsfilialer på Brensholmen, Sjursnes og Lakselvbukt.
Bygningen er oppført under det opprinnelige taket av gamle Fokus Kino, som ble tegnet av arkitekt Gunnar Bøgeberg Haugen og åpnet 16. mars 1973. Den spesielle takkonstruksjonen tegnet han med utgangspunkt i den spanske arkitekten Felix Candelas konstruksjon, som ofte går under betegnelsen candelaskall. Den er utformet som fire store buer som danner en hyperbolsk paraboloid form.
Taket har holdt meget høy kvalitet siden bygningen ble oppført, slik at da det ble bestemt å bygge nytt, kunne det selvbærende taket bli stående igjen.
Arkitektfirmaet HRTB AS sto for tegningen av bygget, mens Skanska AS sto som byggherre. Det kostet 121,8 millioner å bygge det 3 710 m² store bygget. Parketten er produsert av bjørk fra Troms. Dagens bygg ble tatt i bruk i 2005.
Biblioteket har arrangementer som appellerer til alle aldersgrupper og interesser. Fra eventyrstund for de minste, til forfatterbesøk, boklanseringer, lesesirkler, konserter, foredrag og mer er Tromsø bibliotek og byarkiv en levende kulturinstitusjon midt i Tromsø sentrum.
