Trema ( ¨ ) er et diakritisk tegn som ser ut som to hevede prikker. Disse settes over den siste av to vokaler for å vise at den ikke inngår i en diftong eller digraf. Det vil si at hver vokal skal uttales for seg. Trema kommer fra gresk og betyr hull. På norsk forekommer tegnet kun i navn.

Trema må ikke forveksles med tegnet tøddel ( ¨ ), som ser ut som trema, men som i stedet endrer en vokals lyd.
