Tiller er et bolig- og næringsområde i bydelen Heimdal i Trondheim kommune. Stedet var frem til 1964 en egen kommune.
Tiller kirke er sognekirke i Tiller sogn i Heimdal prosti. Det 24 km² store sognet omfatter de delene av stasjonsbyen Heimdal som ligger øst for jernbanen, og østover til Nidelva. Med formannskapslovene av 1837 var Tiller sogn en del av Klæbu formannskapsdistrikt, men ble utskilt som en egen landkommune med 533 innbyggere i 1899. I 1964 ble Tiller, Leinstrand, Byneset og Strinda innlemmet i Trondheim kommune. Tiller kommune hadde på dette tidspunktet 3 595 innbyggere.[1]
Europavei 6 passerer gjennom Tiller fra nord til sør, og forbinder Trondheim med Melhus. En ny firefelts motorvei ble bygd i perioden 2011-2019. Første fase stod ferdig i 2013,[2] mens resten ble åpnet senhøsten 2019. Tiller har store næringsarealer med blant annet kjøpesentre og rundt 300 bedrifter, særlig i Tillerbyen (tidligere Heimdalsmyra). Blant kjøpesentrene i dette området er City Syd det mest kjente. Ellers kan en nevne Tillertorget og StorM Senteret.
På Tiller finnes Rosten, Tonstad og Hårstad skoler, med til sammen rundt 1 100 elever, Nidaros Idrettsungdomsskole, Tiller videregående skole og Kristen videregående skole Trøndelag (KVT).
Den organiserte idretten er underlagt Tiller Idrettslag.
Tiller er plass til flere religiøse bygg og fasiliteter som: Tiller kirke, Birgittaklosteret, et katolsk nonnekloster, Rikets Sal tilhørende Jehovas Vitner, og det buddhistiske Chua Don Hau Tempelet.
