St. Peter og St. Paul-øyene er en gruppe med 15 små øyer og skjær i Nord-Atlanteren som tilhører Brasil. De ligger i den intertropiske konvergenssonen, et område med kraftige vinder, 100 kilomter nord for ekvator og om lag 1000 kilometer nordøst for Natal. Øyenes totale areal er om lag 17 mål, og største høyde over havet er 18 meter. Det er det eneste stedet på kloden der abyssale mantelen er eksponert over havoverflaten.[3]

Øygruppen ble oppdaget i 1511 av en portugisisk marineflåte som var på vei til India.
I 1986 ble øygruppen utpekt til verneområde.[4] Siden 1998 har den brasilianske marinen operert en permanent bemannet forskningsstasjon på øyene.[2]
Den 1. juni 2009 ble Air France Flight 447, en Airbus A330-200 på vei fra Rio de Janeiro til Paris, rapportert savnet og antatt å ha havarert utenfor kysten av Fernando de Noronha. Deler av flyet ble funnet nær St. Peter og St. Paul-øyene.[5]
