Sidi bel Abbès (arabisk: سيدي بلعباس) er hovedstaden i provinsen med samme navn i det vestlige Algerie.

Folkemengden i kommunen var på 212 935 innbyggere ved folketellingen i 2008, hvorav 210 146 bodde i selve byen.[2] Byen vokste opp rundt en fransk militærleir som ble oppført ved elven Mékerra i 1843. I lang tid var byen sete for den franske fremmedlegionen som hadde sitt hovedkvarter der til 1962.
Sent i 1890-årene hadde byen, da beskrevet som av spansk utseende, en sivil befolkning på ca 30 000 innbyggere.[3] De viktigste bygningene var i det franske militære distrikt Quartier Vienot. Treningssenteret for det moderne algeriske nasjonale akademi ligger i Sidi bel Abbès.
I 1930-årene ble de gamle bymurene revet. Brede boulevarder og store plasser erstattet de gamle bykvarterene.
