Preah Ko (Khmer ប្រាសាទព្រះគោ Den hellige okse) var det første tempelet som ble bygget i den historiske og nå forlatte byen Hariharalaya (i området som i dag er kjent som Roluos), og det ligger omtrent 15 km sørøst for hovedgruppen av templer i Angkor, Kambodsja. Tempelet ble bygget i 879 under Khmerkongen Indravarman I til ære for medlemmer av kongens familie, som i tempelet blir satt i sammenheng med hinduguden Shiva.[1]
Preah Ko har fått sitt navn etter de mange statuene av okser som står på framsiden av tempelet vendt mot templets hovedtårn.[2] Man tror at disse statuene skulle representere Nandi, oksen Shiva ofte red på.
Indravarman I, nevøen til Jayavarman II som regnes som Khmerrikets grunnlegger, overtok tronen i 877, og satte raskt i gang med flere store byggeprosjekter. Det første av disse var Preah Ko, som sto ferdig i 879. Templet ble i 880 dedikert til en devaraja[lower-alpha 1] av kong Indravarman I.[3]
Preah Ko består av seks mursteinstårn, plassert i to rekker med tre tårn i hver, på en plattform av sandstein. Tårnene vender mot øst, og det forreste tårnet i midten er det høyeste. Dette tårnet er dedikert til Jayavarman II.[4] Tårnet til venstre er dedikert til Prithivindreshvara, Indravarmans far, og tårnet til høyre til Rudreshvara, hans bestefar. De tre tårnene i bakerste rekke er dedikert til konene til disse tre.[5] Alle tårnene har avbildninger av Shiva.
