Matías Romero er en by og en kommune i delstaten Oaxaca sørvest i Mexico. Den er oppkalt etter diplomaten og politikeren Matías Romero Avendaño. Kommunen er den nest største byen i området Juchitán, som ligger i den vestlige del av regionen Istmo de Tehuantepec. Den er 1459.54 km² og hadde 38421 innbyggere i 2005. El Corteelva, som er en sideelv til Coatzacoalcoselva og er populær for sine fine strender, renner gjennom kommunen.
